ocotillo, ocotillo is a series of platinum prints that examine fouqueria splendens, a widespread sonoran desert plant known as the ocotillo. the photographs are made in proximity to the town of ocotillo, california—a remote desert outpost near the u.s./mexico border. ocotillo, ocotillo includes unique in-camera paper negatives, traditional film-based platinum prints, and combinations of positive and negative print diptychs, all made with view cameras ranging in size from 4”x5” to 16"x20".
